Description
An independent study that allows select students the opportunity to provide assistance to law enforcement personnel. Students will be engaged in reviewing case documentation and compiling case summaries for active cold cases from within southeast Michigan. This review is necessarily conducted in a highly regulated environment. All members of the Madonna University Cold Case Investigative Research Team are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to any involvement in the case review, which states that the information contained in the case documents is privileged and confidential and may not be discussed outside of scheduled team meetings. Copies of the non-disclosure agreement will be submitted to all associated law enforcement agencies and retained at the Madonna University Forensic Science Research Facility.
Prerequisites: FOR 1010 and permission of academic advisor.
