Description
Foundational knowledge and clinical skills necessary to care for adult patients impacted by critical illness will be explored. Emphasis is placed on advanced assessment, prioritization, and management of patients with life-threatening conditions. Students will study key concepts in hemodynamics, ventilatory support, pharmacological therapies, and interdisciplinary collaboration in high acuity settings. Evidence-based practices, ethical decision making, and compassionate care is integrated to prepare students for the complexities of critical care environments.
