Description
Focuses on social determinants of health across the lifespan from multiple domains perspectives. The influences of age, ability, race, gender, and sexual orientation are examined as well as geographic, biological, psychological, genetic, and epigenetic influences. Health and quality of life disparity effects for different populations are analyzed in terms of access barriers, social injustice, and various forms of discrimination. Historical trends, current theories, model of health behavior and future directions are reviewed.
