Description
Interactive course designed to address transition issues first-year students might face when entering the University; introduce them to thought-provoking, challenging, and interesting ideas to enhance their critical thinking, research, writing, and presentation skills; engage them in a community of learners; and facilitate reflection on a service-learning experience that fulfills the University’s mission of service. Required of all students under age of 24 transferring in fewer than 13 s.h. of college credit (excluding Advanced Placement, dual enrollment, International Baccalaureate, and early college credit). Students who complete a semester of Intensive English as a Second Language are excused from this requirement.
